Identification of strengths and weaknesses and determining opportunities and threats are among the most
influential factors for national security of a country. Therefore discovering and extracting these four factors is
closely related to providing national security, its decline or even its destruction as well as political survival of
independent political units. With this approach, investigating strengths and weaknesses of as well as current or possible opportunities and threats for the Islamic republic of Iran becomes gravely important.
