Abstract
This article tries to answer this question: with respect to Islamic Republic of Iran's impact on Iraq and the importance of new Iraq for Iran's strategic environment, what elements do Iran's sources of soft power have? Findings of this article indicate that issues such as Iran's stances following Iraq's occupation, collapse of antiIranian regime, Shiites' empowerment in political arenas, active Shiite parties in Iraq, holding demonstrations of alQods day, contents of Iraq's new constitution and Iran's philanthropic contributions to rebuild war torn Iraq are among the sources of Iran's soft power in new Iraq.
