Abstract
This article studies the position of Iranian Majlis representatives in Islamic jurisprudence. Some say representation in Iranian Majlis can be adapted to the concept of wakil [agent] in jurisprudence. On the contrary, some reject this adaptation for many reasons. As a jurist and founder of Islamic republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini has called Iranian Majlis representatives as nation's wakils, however, it is inferred from his speeches that first, applying the term wakil for Iranian Majlis representatives is based on the broad meaning of wakil not because the concept of wekalat [agency] in jurisprudence applies to Iranian Majlis representatives.
