In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The invasion of our Islamic country by foreign forces has occurred many times over the centuries. Disorder and severe suffering, especially famine, have been the consequences of these occupations. One of these brutal invasions was by the Allies, namely the British and Tsarist Russian forces, in World War I, between August 1293 AH and November 1297 AH.It occurred from 1332 AH to 1336 AH, corresponding to 1914 AD to 1918 AD, and the resulting damage was crystallized in a severe and unprecedented famine, epidemic disease, and the martyrdom of a large number of our compatriots. These painful pages have been censored from contemporary history books with the subtleties of the imagination as a result of the actions of the colonialists and their internal agentsTherefore, the main and important question is: what is the deep-rooted role of scholars and clergy, considering that throughout history they have always been the main refuge of the suffering masses, and how have they been able to be effective in reducing these sufferings through various methods, especially in the form of relief groups and charitable societies, in addition to resistance and war against the occupiers? Therefore, the present article seeks to examine this role, its position and dimensions. God willing, we will seek help.
