In 2021, amidst Iran’s most critical challenges—including the COVID-19 crisis, soaring inflation, budget deficits, and stalled economic growth—Martyr Raeisi assumed the presidency, fully aware of the difficult road ahead. At the time, the outgoing administration struggled with basic duties such as paying salaries, importing vaccines, and initiating infrastructure projects.
With firm determination, a transformative vision, and a spirit of selfless management, Raeisi launched a new approach to governance. He addressed structural challenges by leveraging domestic capacities, empowering committed forces, pursuing a balanced foreign policy, and strengthening ties with neighboring countries. His managment demonstrated that real change was possible—moving from a state of crisis to one of progress—and helped restore public trust in the system.
This article highlights the need for transformational thinking in leadership by drawing on historical examples, from the prophets to Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader, who led societies toward a better future. Within only 33 months, Raeisi achieved results that reflected the qualities of an “exemplary manager of the Islamic Revolution,” as repeatedly acknowledged by the Supreme Leader.
My reflections are shaped by personal experience and direct observation of Ayatollah Raeisi’s character and managment, especially during my time as his deputy for parliamentary affairs.
