The main question of this article is how Imam Khomeini (PBUH) domesticated modern political concepts. Grounded theory research method is a new method in political sciences. It begins with a question and through a few stages it presents the answer. For the first time the author intends to analyze Imam Khomeini's (PBUH) approach to tradition and modernism based on a new method not descriptive but rather explanatory. The resultant (finding) is a new model or theory that indicates an approach to sustain tradition in appearance and behavior in Imam Khomeini's (PBUH) method. The scope of the research is Imam Khomeini's (PBUH) speeches from 1945 to 1990. In this field only a sample of applied traditional and modern concepts has been studied.
