Mentioning historical developments of Ashura, this article tries to study its impacts on social developments of Iran from the uprising of June 5th 1963 to December 30th 2009 public movement and examines similarities and differences of Ashura's function in pre-revolutionary and post-revolutionary Iran. It also tries to present an analysis of the prospects of this subject.
