Transformations within the sphere of geopolitical competition, aligning with the evolution of state and non-state actors and their operational scales, have facilitated the rise of sub-national geopolitical players. Hezbollah in Lebanon stands out as a significant example of such an actor, having successfully established itself over recent decades as a prominent and influential force with both regional and global impact. This study, employing a descriptive-analytical methodology supported by extensive library research and field data, aims to thoroughly examine and analyze the role and function of Hezbollah as a key geopolitical actor. The research focuses specifically on its ongoing rivalry with the Zionist regime and its integral position within the broader Axis of Resistance.
The findings, derived from both library sources and empirical field research, compellingly demonstrate Hezbollah's success in its decades-long confrontation with the Zionist regime. The organization has been effective in securing the rights and advancing the national interests of the Lebanese people. This conclusion is quantitatively substantiated through a field study, where questionnaire data from experts and specialists was analyzed using a T-test. The analysis assessed 15 distinct components reflecting Hezbollah's performance against the Zionist regime. The results revealed that 14 of these 15 components received strong confirmation from the surveyed experts, underscoring Hezbollah's significant and effective role in this conflict.Furthermore, the library-based research confirms Hezbollah's superior and strategic standing within the Axis of Resistance. This position is also corroborated by the field data. The experts surveyed confirmed, via the T-test, 10 key components that define Hezbollah's status within the alliance. This strong consensus affirms that Hezbollah occupies a distinguished and critically important position within the Axis of Resistance, highlighting its strategic value and influence in regional geopolitics.
